Chris Wilkes did a great job adding the Society Islands
to the world of FS98. You can find the FS98 files on my scenery
page. The islands of French Polynesia are located in the Southern Pacific. At about W175:00 and S17:00
As you can see you can best reach the islands from New Zealand and Australia, using other islands as stop-overs. The distance between Auckland and Tahiti is 2210NM following heading about 048 starting in Auckland and about 039 arriving in Tahiti. Around Tahiti you can navigate IFR using this Area chart made by Jeppesen:
